This picnic cooler for Dr. Pepper was manufactured, we believe by Progress. It appears to be a rare example, since we’ve been unable to locate any in reference books or online. If you can share anything about this cooler, please add your comments.
The slogan, “Good For Life” appears on the front of the cooler and was used on Dr. Pepper products throughout the 1940s. This picnic cooler has a unique fastening clamp to hold the lid in place. In addition, there is a bottle opener positioned on the side of the cooler, and a drain plug on the front.
Produced: 1940s
Manufactured by: Progress?

I have one just like that one.it was given to me by a elderly man back in 1990.seems the more we progress the more we leave some of the best things behind.i say this because this cooler keeps ice longer and holds the contents cooler than any other ive had up to date and i think ive tryed most all the big names in camping gear.but un like the one you have here for the right price i would part with mine.ive stoped camping for health reasons and it would be a shame to leave it in a corner to be forgoten so if anyone is interested i can be contacted at changingworld71@yahoo.com.it is complete with its sandwich try and all just like the day it was made.

I would love to buy one from either of you. My dad is a big Dr. Pepper fan and is making a man room in his shop and this would fit in perfectly to hold his Dr. Pepper. Would you sell it for $120?? I’m on a limited budget but haven’t had any luck finding one of these around.
