I am starting the process of restoring a Stoner 180. I need some tips on disassembly. For example I need to know how to remove the frame which has the rows of candy which are vended. I contacted a person who has a Stoner parts maual but was told it would not have the kind of information I need. Is there anyone I can turn to for some tips?

Hi, I am looking for a oem "style", reproduction
main body rubber gasket for my Vendo 83.
I have tried the similar straight length of rubber gasket, but had no luck with trying to form it around the top rounded edges of the machine.
Do you know where I can get a preformed rubber
gasket for this machine?

I have an upright Cavalier Coke machine model css-8-64 and I need to find 5 of the shelves that hold the coke bottles that slide to the glass door opening for dispensing. Do you have these or one that would work?

Thanks,

PLEASE HELP ASAP! Can someone please tell me the value of an original condition u-select Coan machine, round top? It is being offered to me for $450 however am told it isn't currently not working due to "possibly" lack of oil. When I go see it, how can I confirm this? OR inspect what the source of it not working is? OR what year it is? Do I need to care about serial #'s?, etc.Any pointers? At worst what is a potential estimate to fix one? I would appreciate any help as it is a big investment for me! Thank you so much!

I have two coca cola vending machines . One is a model 33, the other is a 44. I need the bottle dispenser portions for both, and the coin mechanism for the 33. Both units are in very good condition except for the missing parts, and both units cool verry well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Both are VMC machines. Thanks/ Mike

I have a very unusual 2 door vintage display cooler with see thru plastic doors that no one seems to be able to identify, it looks like it was made in the 40's or 50's. I have tried all the vintage appliance restoration companys and none of them have ever seen one like it. I found it in North Eastern Oklahoma...I can send pics if you think you can ID it. I would like to restore it but I dont want to get in a situation where no parts are available......please help.

i was wondering if some body could tell me the type of colors used on my cooler box i want to restore it and then resell it. Its a 1950s 7up portable soda cooler . White box red 7up crest. I was told it could be christmas red but as for the white is it egg shell or snow then if i get gloss or flat ? The rest is just sanding off the rust. I would send a picture but i cant activate the attachment option on this page.

I have the top display box for a Vendo milk machine. Graphics are good, but there's a crack about 4" long next to the lock mechanism, and I don't have a key. I'm trying to determine a value. Any ideas?

We are looking for information regarding a David Bradley cooler (Serial number 40311) with a Tucumseh Refrigeration Compressor (Serial number 6F029606) . The Cooler is Green in color and was maybe used for milk or cream cans and is used by filling with water to keep item cold. We believe this cooler is from the 1950's or early 60's. If anyone has helpful information it would greatly be appreciated. Please e-mail at mjohn66@q.com or call Steve at 218-348-3591. Thank you.

My dad has a set of 15 Lusse Auto Scooters that were made in England in the early 1950's under
licence of Lusse America. The parts were made pre War as in 1939. All production stopped for the War and parts were stored. After the War with Italian Competition Lusse was forced to change to Fiberglass Bodies to compete. All
trims etc were sent to England. All drives rear axle and iron wheels were the same and interchangeable with the 1939 cars.
The difference with my cars are that the housings of the motors are cast iron and not aluminium as the U.S.A cars are. The motors are made in England and are 100vDC not A.C as in the U.S.A. So these cars are quite rare.
If anyone wants to buy them, please let me know.
Thank you.

I have a vintage Westinghouse R-1 Coolerette (white) with "Have a Coke" on the door. It works fine and is in great condition.
What's the history of it? How many were made? How rare is it? Also, any thoughts where I can get spare parts, brochures, books, manuals, etc.?
Thanks.

I have a 1962 Cavalier Coke machine I am looking to have restored. Fully functional just needs a new paint job. Can you point me in the right direction? Also looking to find out value of it. I live in SouthEast Massachusetts.
Thx.

I bought a few of these at local sale and was hoping I could get some indepth info on these.
I believe this to be a 1940’s or 1950's vintage "Magic Kitchen" Model #50 Can Food Warmer and Dispensing Non-coin Vendor Machine. They are new old stock in excellent condition with the original shipping box and comes with plastic (bakelite type) knob feet that you screw onto the bottom. There is no build date markings. The person I got it from (who's in their 50's) said their grandfather was in business selling these to area businesses. I am placing the manufacture date in the 1940’s to mid 1950’s (but could be as early as the 30's) due to several points. First, the person who had them is in their 50’s and it was their grandfather who was in business. Second, the internal wiring is cloth wrap insulated (no plastic coating). And third, the original shipping label is a simple label with NO zip code (when was shipping done without a zip code?). Half of the top opens for loading the can food but the whole top can be removed. The cans dispense out of the stainless steel door about half way up the front. It came with a simple typewritten copied instruction sheet. It measures 24 inches side to side, 25 inches high and 12 inches deep. The original box is just slightly larger. I would like to submit pictures along with this comment but don't have a server where I can store them and but a link in here to go to them. Happy to email the pic's to anyone who might be able to help. I would greatly appreciate any info especially an idea of the value of these. Thanks!

hi
Now your talking. The front page gave me an idea what to do with the door of my vendo(since no reply before I've thrown the rest "chasis,compressor,fan..at the dump, but kept the door since this was the easiest part to store I've kept.
It's unfortunate I've never been replied previously.
But by searching and searching I came accross your site.

I have a question regarding the "Coca~Cola Marketeer Soda Cooler" http://www.vintagevending.com/coca-cola-marketeer-soda-cooler#more-2059

Can anyone please possibly tell me the measurements for this ad as well as the year that it came out during the 1960s. I would love to use this ad for an upcoming presentation but I need the information to do so. Thanks!

I'm in the process of restoring a 1948 pepsi double dot ideal slider machine. I ran into a small problem. The inner tub is galvanized and the corners have been leaded. The galvanizer here in town does not want to regalvanize because of the lead in the seams. I guess the only option is to paint the inner tub. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to restore the inner tube and sheet metal. thanks Scott

I have an Adco Orange Crush 1930-19340's counter top dispenser like the restored one you have on your website for sale that is near mint. Never used. Original hoses and equipment all unused an unconnected inside. Decals all original including the full glass of crush decal on the backside where you have put a Triangle Metal Crush sign. email me for details if interested. I'm in Vermont and can deliver it to you.

Matt,

I don't think they are junk, I just think people did not keep them around after they served their purpose, got too old, etc. So I think that they are rare. I have found a link for you to check out: <a href="http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/tusko-elephant-rare-leather-saddle-kiddie-ride" rel="nofollow">http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/tusko-elephant-rare-leather-saddle-kiddie-ride</a>
Good luck with your project, it would be nice to see some pictures when you're done.

recently i acquired 2 old childrens quarter rides, they are not in the best of shape, but at the same time look like a fun project for myself. I was curious if either of the following rides would be worth looking into restoring or not. one is a baby tusko, the only real info i could find on this were some ads in google books that have been scanned, here is an example. http://books.google.com/books?id=RQoEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA96&dq=baby+tusco&hl=en&ei=i_0oTMeDGsH9nQf4hZ2pAQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CC0Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=baby%20tusco&f=false the other is called red rocket, it is what it sounds like a red fiberglass rocket that moves like the tusco. I can not find anyone in my area that can give me any information on these and any help in getting me started on whether i should make them a couple projects so some vending history isn't lost, or if they were just such junk that the history was never there to begin with.

thanks for any help

Missy,

I believe you have a National 222 cigarette machine. Here is a link to a later model for sale: http://www.vendingmachinesworldwide.com/national-222-cigarette-vending-machine-refurbished.aspx I'm not sure what year your machine is from, since National Vendors has been around so long. (http://www.nationalvendors.com/AboutUs/history.cfm) We might be able to help you out more if you send a picture to questions@vintagevending.com

Fred,

We no longer have this machine, so we don't know where to get the gum you need. Perhaps you can try contacting a gum/candy manufacturer and see if they can help you out?

I see that your Stoner Fresh Gum 1cent machine may have the same size gum as my machine.
I have a 1945 1 cent Select O Vend machine that takes a stick of gum that is 1 3/8″w x 13/16″d x 5/32″thick.
It looks like the same as your stoner gum machine.
Do you know where I might find this size gum to purchase for my machine?

Thank You in advance

Regards
