Vintage Zenith Movie Projector

Detail Art Deco Zenith Projector

The Zenith movie projector was manufactured by the Safety Projector Company of Duluth, Minnesota. Old projectors make great decor for a home theater room. We restored this one years ago with an Art Deco color scheme. The projector did not work and was just cosmetically restored. Not sure, but I would guess this was from the 1930’s.

This item is not for sale. We show restored items in this blog to encourage discussion, prompt questions and further the hobby of collecting and restoration. We also enjoy sharing the photos of the many items we have restored over the years.

I have a projector just like this one but on 4 legs. This one looks very nice but mine not so much. I have a model E S/N 290 and would like to know more about it. I got it from my grand mother about 40 years ago, she and my grandfather were in the movie business and left the projector to me.

Looking at the quality of the restoration has inspired me to do the same. Thanks so much for posting this.

These posts are put here to promote conversations about vintage machines and the collecting of them. We no longer own this projector and do not have further details about it. If you want to know the value of your projector, it would be a good idea to talk to other collectors online or at meets. You can try online auctions or a craigslist site to advertise and sell your machine.
