Vintage Cups, Glasses and Mugs
It’s interesting to see the different promotional and corporate products made over the years. Every week we will feature a cool retro cup, glass or mug from our large collection. We’ll share what we’ve learned about them and welcome your additional input and comments.
This is a waxed paper cup from Burger King from the 1960s. This 16-ounce cup was made by the Sweetheart Cup Division of the Maryland Cup Corporation in Maryland. It was used to serve soft drinks and/or milkshakes. On the side of the cup is a measuring line marked “ice milk”. The front and back of the cup both feature the Burger King logo with “Home of the Whopper” printed below. The Burger King Corporation used this slogan from 1958 to 1968 and has used numerous others since then.
