Coca-Cola Multiplex Dispenser

The Multiplex 44 soda fountain dispenser was made by the Multiplex Faucet Company from 1961 to 1962 and total production was about 2,000 machines. It was the last metal model dispenser that they made as they changed over to plastic after 1961. The Multiplex 44 was a dual-valve dispenser made for dispensing two flavors of soft drinks.

Multiplex 44 Dual Valves

The back of the machine is embossed with the Coca-Cola logo and the slogan, “Have a Coke” appears over one dispensing valve. The other valve is unspecified so a decal could be added for any other soft drink. The plastic nozzles mixed the carbonated water and the soft drink syrup as it dispensed them.

As we have been out of the restoration business for awhile, we are not able to estimate a value for you. I have found a site that is selling similar items at http://www.vintagecoolstuff.com/sodafountain/sodafountain1.htm
Other than that, keep checking ebay or Craig’s List, sometimes items like this pop up. If anyone else can help, please comment.

Was curious as to the syrup that was used for this machine. Pre mix, post mix or are there special canisters that go inside this fountain and how do I find them.

I am interested in the coke soda/ice cream barrel. If it a small 17 gal size value would be $700 in excellent condition. A 45 gal size one is worth $450 in excellent condition. Would it be possible to call me at 319-334-4782 as I may be interested in it depending on your location. Louie

I found what looks like a coca cola fountain from the 50’s on the left side it has 4 dispensers and on top of the dispensers it has a triangular coca cola sign that lights up. On the right side there is a slide up stainless steel door.

We have a multiplex Rootbeer barrel from the 1940s – this is a large unit used in soda fountain shops/ice cream shops. Looking for someone who can value or may be interested in purchasing. We actually used this in our soft serve ice cream shop 20+ years ago – and it has been lovingly stored since then. Any help in locating information/value or interested parties?

how do I find value coke fountain dispenser 1950 to 1960, missing top bu aluminum very clean inside, thank you

  • 24 vintagevending // Sep 20, 2012 at 12:52 pm

There is a website called soda-machines.com that may be helpful in identifying the model of dispenser you own. (Try this link http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=5&Itemid=20). To find it’s value, you would need to talk to other collectors or to get a rough idea of its worth you could check eBay or other online auction sites.
