I just acquired a 48″ porcelain button in decent shape, but the drilled hangholes look precarious. I’ve searched, but can’t find an answer so far: How can I hang this?

Your sign is porcelain enamel over metal. If you put porcelain enamel in Google Search, you can read all about the procelain enamel process.

Hi, I have a 48″ button and am just wondering how to distinguish as to whether my sign is metal or in fact porcelain? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a 36″ red button which says drink coca cola, its almost perfect. Now that I’ve seen the Temco ad I would say mine would have been made in 49. It was on my grandmothers store which she opened in 46. I’ve had it for 29 yrs. I’ve seen these go for as much as $2500.00

Your sign was likely made in the late 1950s early 1960s. We have no knowledge of where you could find a restorer, as we have been out of the business for a while now. If anyone else can help, please comment.

I have been looking at resource books on Coke memorabilia- They don’t have a 36″ listed but they have them all in 24″ or smaller which makes me wonder if they are typos or they are being generic- anyway…Did anyone else make these besides Temco? I would say yes….??

In looking at your Temco ads above- I may have one of those buttons- It’s 36″ red with Coca Cola and is porcelain…How would I know it’s a Temco? Most books have the average large button listed at 24″ and I have 3 that are all 36″ but only one porcelain-

We aren’t able to give estimates on the value of an item. If you keep an eye on Ebay or maybe Craig’s List, your item is sure to be listed at some point. My Ma has a button Coke sign, 48″ in diameter , Red and yellow with “P+M Made in Canada 1955″ printed on the bottom. She’s looking for an appraisal and she may want to part with it.
