Vintage Cups, Glasses and Mugs
In our blogs, we’ve been featuring a different promotional or corporate restaurantware product made over the years. This is another in the group of cool retro cups, glasses or mugs from our large collection. Here we’ll be sharing what we’ve learned about it and we welcome your additional input and comments.
This vintage Dairy Queen cup is from the early 1950s. Printed on the cup is D.Q.’s famous slogan, “The Cone with the Curl on Top”. There is also an illustration of a classic 50s Dairy Queen ice cream stand behind one of their delicious soft serve cones. On the right side of the cup in the copyright with the D.Q. trademark, called “Baby’s Face in a Parka” by collectors. The copyright is 1953.
This milkshake cup was made by the Lily-Tulip Cup Corporation. They were later sold to Owens-Illinois and became Owens-Illinois’ Lily Division.
