Here is a cool little upright candy machine that used to be manufactured in Haverhill, MA—practically in our own backyard. It is the DuGrenier Candy Man Candy Bar Machine, and at the time, it sold for $41.50. The machine held 72 bars and displayed up to 12 different brands. The optional stand for $6.00 could be locked and was a good place to store extra candy. Loading and servicing was performed through the sides of the machine. Although we owned several of these over the years, we never restored one.

Manufactured by:
A.H. DuGrenier, Inc.
15 Hale Street
Haverhill, MA

Scott,
We are no longer in the business of restoring and selling these machines. Try eBay or Craig’s List, sometimes they pop up there. Also, google is a wonderful tool. Good luck!

Just came across your site. I have a Dugrenier Machine that I am restoring now. I had two and one was destroyed. I have been searching the internet for original colors on this machine before painting. Any help appreciated. It was pretty rough when I got it at the Rowley Flea Mkt. about 15 yrs ago.

i am interested in purchasing a fully upright 5cent candy machine from an antique store in my area. Its a “You need a vendor”. its in great shape and is in working order… is it a good investment?

Sundi,
We can’t tell you if its a good investment. It depends on condition, shape, type of machine and other factors. Do your research beforehand, and that will let you know if it’s a good idea.

Randy,
We are not able to give estimates on value. Try ebay, sometimes items like this pop up, and that will give you an estimate on the worth of your machine.
