I have a Tiffany vase, Sterling Silver trophy from the 1930 Fisk Tire Company Sales contest. My Grandfather had a tire store in Jackson Miss that won. The Fisk Tire boy is prominently displayed.

I have an old Fisk Tire Boy, I’ve had him leaning up against a chain link fence for the last 25 years with a logging chain around his neck and looped over the fence to keep him in place..Climbing roses have grown up around him..He is solid and still attractive..Paint is flaking..I thought he was 6 1/2 tall but he is on an old milk crate, couple of them pushed together so he is about 5′ 1/2 tall..Please hit me with an offer as i am getting old and want to get rid of a lot of stuff..Lots of old adverising, An old watling slot machine,junk, good antiques..As I don’t want to die with this stuff..

Yes, the statue was used in many stores. Sometimes it was outside, and sometimes there was a smaller statue inside the store.

I saw one of these statues on top of a disused gas station in Rural Hall, NC which used to be a Fisk Tire store. It’s not in great shape, but it’s clearly recognizable. Were these used regularly over the entrances of Fisk Tire stores?

I have an original moulded Plaster Fisk Tyre Boy .He has movable arms,but there has been a bit of warping that occured when he was left out in the garden as an ornament many years ago.He stands 20 inches high and has wooden inserts in his feet ,where he would have been attached to a stand.Can anybody shed any light on how old he may be.

The fiberglass Fisk Boys were made in the 1960s for the F&G Division of Uniroyal. Most were in the Tire Departments in 220 K-Marts, 10 Globes and 2 Fisk Home and Auto Centers. Probably 300 were originally made. I also own one that is displayed in my store in Snohomish Washington. I worked for Uniroyal in 60’s & 70’s.

I have a Fisk Tire Boy that is bronze and stands on a wooden base. He was in my Dad’s office for as long as I can remember. He was anonymous as there is no slogan or identification. I’ve always wondered who is was and how my Dad had acquired him.

Wow. About 5 years ago I did a series of 10 reproductions of a 3-piece screenprinted metal Fisk Boy floor standing display for a fellow who was selling them at the Barret Jackson Auction here in Southern California. I sure gave him a bargain.
