I have four 1950s dodgems. Two for myself and will sell two, either un-restored or later in the year once restored. I am in the UK and you can take a look at one on my web site. £1800 each un-restored.

I grew up on Fairhill Street, (2820 to be exact), and Lusse was a few doors down at 2809 Fairhill St. It was so much fun watching the guys work on these wonderful cars and seeing the finished product. They allowed the locals the opportunity to come into their factory and see first hand had it was all done ... I will never forget this experience as it is not only part of my childhood, but part of history. Thank you Lusse Brothers for the great memories!!

I'm looking for a Lusse bumper cars, doesnt have to be in great shape or running. I'm in the process of trying to get them street legal so I can manufacture them. If anyone has one that would allow me to make a fiberglass mold off of it we could work something out.

Hi. I have 23 German Dodgem Cars made in the early 60’s. They are still in working condition.
I also have a set of 15 Lusse Auto Scooters that were made in England in the early 1950's under
licence of Lusse America. The parts were made pre War as in 1939. All production stopped for the War and parts were stored. After the War with Italian Competition Lusse was forced to change to Fiberglass Bodies to compete. All
trims etc were sent to England. All drives rear axle and iron wheels were the same and interchangeable with the 1939 cars. The difference with my cars are that the housings of the motors are cast iron and not aluminium as the U.S.A cars are. The motors are made in England and are 100vDC not A.C as in the U.S.A.
So these cars are quite rare.
Please let me know if you are interested in them or know of someone who may be.
Kind regards,
Victor Louw

I STILL have a set of 15 Lusse Auto Scooters that were made in England in the early 1950's under lisence of Lusse America. The parts were made pre War as in 1939. All production stopped for the War and parts were stored.
After the War with Italian Competition Lusse was forced to change to Fiberglass Bodies to compete. All trims etc were sent to England.
Thank you too all the people that have shown interest in these cars.

My wife and I are looking to buy a vintage bumper car for home decor. I have searched the internet quite a bit and can't find a place that has them for sale. Do you know where I can look at buying one, restored or not? And about how much I should expect to spend. Thanks for your time.

I have a 50's style Lusse that I'm thinking about selling. Everyone I've talked to about buying them is ridiculous on price, so I thought I would just sell mine. It has been sand blasted years ago. It's just the body and platform. If interested contact me@ 270-832-1234 or e-mail me at bob@ferrels.net

Our media blasting process using glass and/or plastic bead will make this restoration process go a bit quicker and save alot of energy and physical work.

We are located in Philadelphia PA on Grays Ferry Avenue.

I have a set of 15 Lusse Auto Scooters that were made in England in the early 1950's under
lisence of Lusse America. The parts were made pre War as in 1939. All production stopped for the War and parts were stored.
After the War with Italian Competition Lusse was forced to change to Fiberglass Bodies to compete. All trims etc were sent to England. All drives rear axle and iron wheels were the same and interchangeable with the 1939 cars.
The difference with my cars are that the housings of the motors are cast iron and not aluminium as the U.S.A cars are.
The motors are made in England and are 100vDC not A.C. as in the U.S.A.
So these cars are quite rare.

Please let me know if you are interested in them or know of someone who may be.

Kind regards,
Victor Louw

OVER 25 YEARS AGO A FRIEND OF MINE HAD A LUSSE SKOOTER BUMPER CAR. I THOUGHT IT LOOKED A LOT LIKE A 1953 CHEVY PICKUP (GRILL). HE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING IT INTO A TRAILER FOR HIS STREETROD. I BORROWED IT AND MADE A FIBERGLASS MOLD. I PUT THE MOLDS IN STORAGE BECAUSE WE WERE JUST TOO BUSY BUILDING STREETRODS. AFTER THESE MANY YEARS I DESIDED TO BUILD A BUMPER CAR TRAILER FOR THE MOTORCYCLE AND STREETRODERS. IT LOOKS GREAT AND GOT GREAT REVIEWS AT THE LAST DAYTONA TURKEY ROD RUN. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE INFORMATION ON OUR REPRODUCTION BUMPER CAR BODY OR LUGGAGE TRAILER, FINISHED OR IN KIT FORM, JUST DROP ME A LINE AT SEFIBERGLS@YAHOO.COM TERRY

I build custom cars & hot rods. Would like to buy 1-2 unrestored bumper cars, preferably 50's Lusse or Dodge'm versions. Plan to motorize them after restoration for display at car shows. Any help would be appreciated. thx, rich starrett
