The Mills 120-B was manufactured from 1946 to 1953. It was used by many different soda manufacturing companies and was customized to their particular brand by applying decals. Exceptions to this were the machines manufactured specifically for the Coca-Cola Company. Their soda vendors were painted red and had a Coca-Cola bottle encased in Plexiglas within the door located on the front of the machine.
These two photos are from a vintage brochure that features machines made for the Coca-Cola Company. The photos show the Mills 120-B and the Mills 120-B2. These machines had the capacity to vend 120 8-ounce bottles and pre-cool 58. The Mills 120 machines were very heavy for their size, weighing 550 lbs., so they’re not all that popular with collectors today.

I’d love to have one of those machines in a game room or something. I wonder what a Mills 120 in good condition is worth these days? Guess i’ll check out eBay.

I was also looking for the price of a Mills 120 B-2. I bought one back in the 80’s, it took my ex and about 6 of his friends to get it into the house! When I bought it, it worked, it cooled, and it dropped the bottles. The only thing it didn’t do properly was to make change. (It has a sticker that made the price 10 cents, you can see the 5 cent sticker underneath). It’s completely unrestored, it sure is BIG!!! But I always wanted it. Oh, and it doesn’t have a key to lock it, but a local collector told me he could probably find me one.
