I have a light green metallic color cig. vending machine from 1950's through 1960's. Unsure of date. It has all its parts but not sure about the key. I'm looking for a value estimate, and don't yet have photo available. Any ideas?

We just picked up a stoner 1cent fresh gum vending machine. Do you know where we can get parts? I need one knob. In that orangeish color. I was also wondering if you knew if anyone sold the gum it carried? Thanks for all the great info

Chiclets will not work in this vending machine! I have tried it. Originally they held a short stick of gum, about a third or quarter shorter than a stick of Wrigelys. I believe they were made by the Adams Gum Co. They gave them away at the bank too. However, Fleers' Double Bubble Bubble Gum with the comics, will work pretty well. They occasionally get stuck but, not often. - Peace Out

This gum machine does have the styling of Stoner Brand machines. The knobs look like Stoner knobs. It does look similar to my larger Univendor (Candy, Gum, and Mint) Stoner machine. It has the coloring of my Stoner Junior machine.

I had tons of machines at one time and out of them I kept the oldest and the ones I thought were of the most value. I have a couple machines without keys. In trying to get these machines unlocked, I enlisted the services of a locksmith. In any event, most vending machine locks have a number on them, well the ones taking the hollow keys. If you see a number listed on it, most generally, you can get a key made by producing the number.

Hi! Just came into possession of one of these machines. Planning a restore, but having some small issues with the locking mechanism. Maybe you can offer some advice? E-mail if possible.

John,

Keep searching on ebay and Craig's list. Your machine is sure to turn up sometime. Also, just try searching the internet for sites and dealers that retore/sell these great machines.

We aren't able to give estimates on the value of an item. If you keep an eye on Ebay or maybe Craig's List, your item is sure to be listed at some point. That may give you a rough idea of it's value but keep in mind to compare apples to apples. Prices vary greatly depending on condition. If anyone can help with a value of this item please blog in.
