1950s Pepsi-Cola Countertop Cooler
This is a countertop cooler that was manufactured in the 1950s. It came from Mexico, but we don’t have any information about the manufacturer. We restored this when we were in the business years ago. We no longer own this, but thought you may enjoy the photos.
This cooler would have been used in a store and placed on the countertop, probably near the cash register. The customer could simply lift the lid, take as many sodas as they wanted and then pay the cashier. There is a bottle opener and a drain spout for emptying out the water once the ice had melted.
If you have anything to add, we’d love to hear from you.

I remember getting a Pepsi from one like this when I was a very small child. It was located in a country store in middle Tennessee. I liked it because I could get the lid open by myself. What I remember most is opening the lid enough to feel the cool air (July, no A/C, just a screen door) and getting one of those cold bottles! You all did a beautiful restoration on this piece. And I love the website!

Have one of these coolers, any leads as to where I could have it restored. Live in Pennsylvania.
